How to

replace the dome or Grip Tip

Dome and Grip Tip can be used with RITE styles with speakers and BTE styles with thin tubes for a comfortable fit in the ear.

The dome and Grip Tip (standard earpieces) should not be cleaned. When you need a fresh, clean dome, remove the existing dome and put on a new one. We recommend replacing the dome at least once a month or as directed by your hearing care professional. Grip Tip should be replaced at least once a month.

Here’s how to do it:

About domes

Domes and Grip Tip are pre-sized, disposable earpieces that are placed on the hearing aid’s speaker or thin tube to fit comfortably in the ear. Domes range from open domes to closed power domes. Both domes and Grip Tips are made of a soft rubber material.

We recommend contacting a hearing care professional if you want to purchase extra earpieces, cleaning tools and other accessories.

Important notice!

If the earpiece is not on the speaker when removed from the ear, the earpiece might still be in the ear canal. Consult your hearing care professional for further instructions.
