Oticon is one of the world’s leading hearing aid manufacturers. Our mission is to push the limits of technology to change the lives of people with hearing loss. Delivering software excellence is critical to our business. Therefore, we are looking for an Agile Coach with extensive SAFe experience to guide and coach us as we progress on our SAFe journey.
We have embarked on our SAFe journey in line with the Implementation Roadmap and our commitment to SAFe is long-term. Over the past two years, our software organization has fully adopted SAFe and four Agile Release Trains (ARTs) are currently in place. Demant is committed to implementing SAFe in other parts of the company and SAFe Lean Portfolio Management is currently being established.
Our software organization designs, implements and releases fitting software, mobile applications for iOS and Android, and cloud services. We are a large team with three sites in Poland and Denmark, so we typically have multi-site ARTs. As our new Agile Coach, you will play a key role in continuously improving our SAFe setup across ARTs and agile teams, and in providing the necessary training and coaching.
You will drive learning, experimentation, and agile thinking
In cooperation with your colleagues your mission is to ensure that we run a world-class SAFe setup in our software organization so that we can meet our strategic targets. This will involve leveraging your practical and theoretical expertise to assist SAFe Program Consultants (SPCs), Release Train Engineers (RTEs), ARTs and people managers. You must therefore have a solid agile toolbox and master SPC skills through demonstrated experience.
You will be a member of a team with SPCs, RTEs and Release Managers. The team ensures that SAFe is implemented in an aligned manner across all ARTs within the software organization. It is vital to ensure that Release Train Engineers and SAFe Program Consultants share their experiences. Development of our scrum master community also has high priority. Furthermore, the allocation of time for experimentation to drive improvements is essential. You will report to our Senior Director – Software Solutions.
Your primary tasks
- Coaching our internal SPCs, RTEs and other key people in our software organization
- Coaching agile teams, including product owners and scrum masters, to secure high performance
- Using your SPC expertise and comprehensive agile toolbox to help us identify and solve challenges. We also expect you to support us in taking further steps in our SAFe transformation.
- Helping to build a culture of continuous improvement and learning
Your agile background
You are a certified SPC who has played a key role in several SAFe transformations. Ideally, you also have experience as a scrum master or Release Train Engineer.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
You have leadership skills and can inspire followership in your interactions with stakeholders. You are passionate about helping organizations to drive and sustain change.
We dare to make a difference
Together with skilled colleagues, you are part of a dynamic environment that is based on trust and openness. You will experience a strong desire to win. We are a growing international company where everybody supports the business by contributing to the customer’s experience of our products as the most attractive to work with. You will be working in a bright and open workplace, where a flexible working environment, knowledge sharing, and professional respect makes it both challenging and meaningful to go to work.
Eager to join the team?
Kindly submit your application as soon as possible, but no later than August 21, 2022, as we will interview candidates on an ongoing basis. We only accept applications via our online recruitment system.
